    Neighbors Helping Neighbors New Mexico, Inc. receives 501(c)(3) Status The Board of Directors of Neighbors Helping Neighbors New Mexico, Inc. (NHN) is pleased to announce that it has received its official 501(c)(3) designation from the federal government.

    This milestone marks the culmination of extensive organizational development and strengthens NHN's ability to serve survivors of the Hermit's Peak/Calf Canyon Fire in Mora and San Miguel Counties. This structure will also enable NHN to share its expertise and resources with other communities in need, should the occasion arise. The NHN Board of Directors comprises Rev. Jill Cline, Adrian Lucero, Ryan Ervin, and Janna Lopez. Ms. Lopez has served as the program's linchpin, Program Coordinator, and Case Management Supervisor since its inception, working alongside Case Managers Gloria Pacheco, Bob DeVries, and Nancy Esquibel.

    Since its grassroots beginnings nearly three years ago, NHN, with generous support and funding from community partners including UMCOR, the Las Vegas New Mexico Community Foundation, The Santa Fe Community Foundation, St. Paul's Peace Episcopal/Lutheran Church, the Mora/San Miguel Long Term Recovery Group, 1st United Methodist Church, First United Presbyterian Church, Cornerstone Church, Heart of David Worship Center, the Las Vegas Rotary, and Victory Life Church, among many others, has addressed the unmet needs of over 500 families.
    To date, NHN has coordinated the distribution of over $1.3 million toward supplies, equipment, agricultural hay and feed, well and septic repairs, flood mitigation , firewood (more than 2,000 cords have been delivered !), and other essential needs and services.
